The SHRS group lost weight, and despite decreasing BMI, they remained in the overweight category, but with good BC, and showed improved cardiorespiratory fitness (METs ˃ 12); additionally, this group showed decreased circulating Trp levels and an increased 3-HK/Trp ratio, suggesting an overactivation of the KP, leading to de novo NAD+ production. This evidence concerns the gene NPPA and breast cancer.
