The induction of liver fibrosis by CCl4 caused a significant (P < 0.05) increase in the serum levels of liver function enzymes, including ALT and AST, as well as the total bilirubin contents compared to the control group, while total protein was significantly (P < 0.05) decreased in serum after 5 and 9 weeks of intoxication compared to the control group. This evidence concerns the gene GPT and Hepatic fibrosis.
