Interestingly when we compared genes upregulated in the invasive TNBC cells with downregulated genes from catulin KD samples, we got a list of 75 genes including genes specific for vasculogenesis CNN1, ESM1, ADAMTSL4, RCAN1, EDN1, JMJD6, JUP. Some were specific for TNBC development—CPA4, SIX2, NEU3, LYN, and some were specific for inducing cancer migration, EMT and metastases—MEGF6, SERINC2, RHEBL1, FBLIM1, CXCL8, CKS2. The gene discussed is SIX2; the disease is cancer.
