Since the markers of coagulation, fibrinolysis, inflammation and angiogenesis play a very important role in the atherosclerotic process, the aim of our study was to compare the gene expression of these markers in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) with very high levels of Lp(a) and healthy controls, and to evaluate the effect of PCSK9 treatment on these markers in CAD patients. The gene discussed is PCSK9; the disease is coronary artery disorder.
