Tryptophanyl-tRNA synthetase (WARS) is overexpressed in oral squamous cell carcinomas and correlates with tumour stage and invasion [15], whereas several ARSs, including the glycyl(GARS)- and lysyl(KARS)-tRNA synthetases, have been found deregulated in prostate cancer [16]. This evidence concerns the gene WARS1 and Familial prostate cancer.
