The activity of EGCG against melanoma was studied by Zhang, et al. [38], who found that exposure of the mouse melanoma cell line, B16F10, to EGCG (up to 100 μM) dose-dependently decreased the cell viability, and also decreased the levels of the MITF protein through the inhibition of CREB phosphorylation. The gene discussed is MITF; the disease is melanoma.
