Moreover, when we assessed the anxiety-like behaviors in sham IL-17A WT and KO mice, there was no significant difference in the time spent in the central zone (WT: 10.450 ± 0.888 vs. KO: 12.910 ± 1.000), peripheral zone (WT: 89.550 ± 0.888 vs. KO: 87.090 ± 1.000) of the open field arena and the open arms in EPM (WT: 33.820 ± 4.850 vs. KO: 40.910 ± 5.993; Supplementary Figure 2), demonstrating that the basal anxiety level was not altered by IL-17A KO.
