The expression of all four tested SAR-related marker genes, i.e., PR1, PR2, PR5, and SID2, was upregulated in shoots at 48 h after root treatment with SCA7 and 24 h after leaf infection with the pathogenic Pst DC3000 (Supplementary Figure S1), compared to control plants treated with PBS and, later, infected with Pst DC3000 (Figure 9B).
