In order to determine whether genetic variation affects the expression of m6A regulatory factors in RC patients, we studied the expression levels of regulatory factors in normal and RC samples and found that, compared with normal control samples, METTL14, METTL16, WTAP, YTHDC1, YTHDC2, YTHDF3, HNRNPC, FTO, and ALKBH5 were significantly down-regulated in tumor samples, while METTL13, RBM15, RBM15B, FMR1, LRPPRC, HNRNPA2B1, IGFBP1, IGFBP2, and IGFBP3 were significantly up-regulated in tumor samples (Figure 1C). Here, WTAP is linked to neoplasm.
