COVID-19 patients were still less likely to carry KIR2DL3+KIR2DL2-/HLA-C1+O+ than healthy controls (22.23% vs 34.69%, respectively, OR =0.477, P=0.004), suggesting that this genetic combination is still protective in the absence of KIR2DL2 (Table 2). Here, KIR2DL3 is linked to COVID-19.
