In the case of chemokines, the transcriptional levels of CCL2 and CCL20 genes were upregulated after infection with all strains in comparison with the non-infected cells, but a higher expression was observed for CCL20 gene and especially for infections produced with A. dhakensis and A. caviae than with the other species (p < 0.05) (Figure 4).
