Biochemical analysis showed that neonates with sepsis had a higher level of PCT (0.15 (0.10, 0.25) vs. 0.34 (0.14, 1.73) ng/ml, P < 0.001), CRP (0.7 (0.7, 0.7) vs. 0.7 (0.7, 17.6) mg/dl, P < 0.001), and ALT (25.6 (20.1, 33.3) vs. 29.0 (22.4, 39.0) U/l, P < 0.001) and a lower level of TP (56.67 ± 7.09 vs. 53.70 ± 7.37 g/l, P < 0.001) and ALB (33.34 ± 4.20 vs. 30.18 ± 4.86 g/l, P < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and Sepsis.
