The AUC for CRP, ALB, and PCT was 0.67 (95% CI 0.64-0.71, P < 0.001), 0.70 (95% CI 0.66-0.74, P < 0.001), and 0.70 (95% CI 0.66-0.79, P < 0.001), which were lower than the AUC for CAR in predicting sepsis in neonates with pneumonia (P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and susceptibility to pneumonia measurement.
