Wang et al. (45) have studied the combined amplification of TAZ gene in 33 cancer cell types and found that TAZ exhibits the most significant amplification rate in five common types of squamous cell carcinomas including cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CESC), LUSC, ESCA, HNSC, and BLCA. This evidence concerns the gene WWTR1 and cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
