PRMT5 and gastric cancer: We found that PRMT5 deletion, including shallow deletion and deep deletion, occurred in 25.1% (109/434) of human gastric cancer samples, which was more prevalent than gain 11.8% (51/434) and amplification 0.2% (1/434), indicating that PRMT5 loss might be implicated in gastric cancer formation and progression (Figure 1A).
