We established three gastric cancer cell lines, including AGS, MNK45, and primary GC cells, stably overexpressing Serpin E1 and found that Serpin E1 overexpression promoted the malignant phenotype of the three cell lines by significantly promoting the cell growth and colony formation and enhancing the migration and invasion of cancer cells (Fig. 5A–C). The gene discussed is SERPINE1; the disease is cancer.
