Overall, the present study is the first to verify that CRL4 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex can regulate CFP1 protein expression in ovarian cancer cells, and to reveal the molecular mechanism underlying the CFP1 regulation of ovarian cancer cell proliferation by binding to the BST2 promoter region, thereby influencing the transcription level of BST2. This mechanism lays the theoretical foundation for identifying molecular targets of ovarian cancer clinical treatment and further demonstrates the importance of CRL4 E3 ubiquitin ligase complex as a therapeutic target for ovarian cancer. The gene discussed is CXXC1; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
