Among the eight B. psuedolongum enzymes we detected, seven were significantly more active in the HF group (q value < 0.05; t test with moderated t-statistic) and included the bifid shunt enzymes fructose-6-phosphate phosphoketolase, transketolase, ribulose phosphate 3-epimerase, and the downstream enolase (Fig. 3). The gene discussed is TKT; the disease is hydrops fetalis.
