It was found that GRHL2 plays a critical role in these tumors; according to different types of tumors, it may either promote tumor growth (gastrointestinal cancer, liver cell cancer, and colon cancer) or act as a tumor suppressor (epithelial squamous cell cancer, breast carcinoma, renal carcinoma, cervical cancer, neuroblastoma, and prostate cancer) [11–14]. This evidence concerns the gene GRHL2 and colonic neoplasm.
