TRIM44 and neoplasm: Several investigations found that TRIM44 facilitates tumor development through activation of the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, including phosphorylated P70S6K (also known as RPS6KB1) in several cases (Robins et al., 2014; Ong et al., 2014; Xing et al., 2016; Tan et al., 2017; Xiong et al., 2018; Zhou et al., 2019; Li et al., 2019; Wei et al., 2019; Ji et al., 2020; Qing et al., 2021).
