CTLA4 and non-small cell lung carcinoma: Current ICIs primarily include the programmed death-1/ligand-1 (PD-1/PD-L1) inhibitors and cytotoxic T-lymphocyte associated protein 4 (CTLA4) inhibitors, which were shown to confer superior efficacy and less side effects as compared to conventional chemotherapy in patients with NSCLC [4, 5].
