ZCCHC4 and hepatocellular carcinoma: Gene ontology analysis indicated that the downregulated genes were enriched in “regulation of epithelial to mesenchymal transition” while the upregulated genes were mainly involved in the regulation of cell death (especially apoptosis) (Fig. 2a), suggesting that ZCCHC4 may regulate the tumorigenic activities of HCC through affecting migration, invasion, and apoptosis of HCC cells.
