As a canonical RBP containing consensus ZnF domain and m6A methyltransferase (MTase) domain, ZCCHC4 primarily mediates m6A methylation of 28S rRNA.21–23 Recent studies reported ZCCHC4 could facilitate tumorigenesis through yet to be identified molecular mechanisms.21,24 In our current research, we demonstrate that ZCCHC4 suppress DNA-damage-induced apoptosis in HCC cells via interacting with a new long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) AL133467.2 as well as DNA-damage indicator γH2AX in the nucleus. This evidence concerns the gene ZCCHC4 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
