Nlrc4-/- BMNs had improved ability to restrict PAO1, PP34ExoUS142A and PAO1ΔExoS infection than WT and Pad4-/- neutrophils (Fig 4G), suggesting that neutrophil pyroptosis more than PAD4-driven DNA decondensation promotes neutrophil failure to restrict PAO1, PP34ExoUS142A and PAO1ΔExoS.
