The receptor (ADCYAP1R1, hereafter referred to as PAC1R) of the pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating peptide (PACAP), an emerging therapeutic target for stress-related disorders (Hammack et al., 2009; Ressler et al., 2011; Roman et al., 2014; Missig et al., 2017; Liao et al., 2019a), is a good example. This evidence concerns the gene ADCYAP1R1 and stress-related disorder.
