p38γ has emerged as an important target for multiple cancers with diverse pathways, including prostate,1 esophageal,2 breast,3 liver,4 and cutaneous T‐cell lymphoma (CTCL).5 It is overexpressed in malignant CD4+ T cells (ie, CTCL cells) but undetectable in normal healthy T cells. This evidence concerns the gene CD4 and primary cutaneous T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
