PRKCQ is a member of the novel protein kinase C (PKC) family and has been associated with many types of cancers, such as chromophobe renal cell carcinomas, breast cancer, and Notch-driven T-cell leukemia (Villalba and Altman, 2002; Byerly et al., 2016; Park et al., 2017).
