The serum GDF‐15 to CIMT ratio as a predictor of atherosclerosis with cut off value of GDF‐15 (≥1446.01 pg/dl) is highly statistically significant (p < 0.001) and area under curve (AUC) is 0.962 of specificity 90% and sensitivity 88% as shown in Figure 1. This evidence concerns the gene GDF15 and atherosclerosis.
