Four genes that were associated with apoptosis, tumor metastasis and progression (BCL2L15, COMP, CST1, and FAM83A) reflected tumor intrinsic growth potential, whereas eight genes (ITLN2, MARCO, C8B, MASP1, CD36, TAL1, PPBP, and CDH5) that were associated with immune microenvironment reflected immune response against tumors. The gene discussed is CD36; the disease is neoplasm.
