The role of ACE2 and the MasR in cancer is still unclear, with reports of decreased ACE2 in breast and pancreatic cancers [63], but contradictory reports of ACE2 and MasR overexpression in CRC, and MasR-mediated cancer cell migration in renal cell carcinoma [63, 64]. This evidence concerns the gene MAS1L and hereditary clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
