CRP showed a significant difference when it reached its maximum levels during hospitalization. Maximum CRP levels were 92 (interquartile range [IQR]: 48–122) mg/L in normal‐weight patients, 140 (IQR: 82–265) mg/L in overweight patients, and 117 (IQR: 67–160) mg/L in patients with obesity (p = 0.037). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is obesity disorder.
