35 molecules overlapped PA‐ and COVID‐19‐enriched molecules, including COX‐2, IL‐1β, IFN‐β1, IL‐6, CCL2, CXCL8, and CCL5. Examining the paths by which PA might affect the coronavirus pathogenesis pathway, 38 shortest pathways were found. Among the molecules in these pathways, many of them were immune related, including FOS, EEF1A1, IL‐1β, IFN‐β1, IL‐6, CCL2, CXCL8, CCL5, and PTGS2. Contrary to the proinflammatory activity of PA, the unsaturated n‐3 fatty acids attenuate the activity of the inflammatory mediators and may be protective in the infection. The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is infection.
