Our results showed that suppressions of the two fly orthologs of P2RY14 (AstC-R1 and AstC-R2) by RNAis reduced eye degeneration in the c9ALS Drosophila model (Score = −3 for AstC-R1, Score = −2 for AstC-R2, Figure 2C and Table 3), suggesting that further investigation of P2RY14 function in neurodegeneration is warranted to confirm its relevance as potential target in ALS.
