The CXCL10, also known as IFN-γ-inducible protein 10 (IP-10), through its receptor [chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 3 (CXCR3)], is implicated in the immune-pathogenesis of numerous autoimmune diseases, (i.e., GD and orbitopathy, type 1 diabetes, mixed cryoglobulinemia, SLE, SS, or SSc) (49, 50). The gene discussed is CXCL10; the disease is systemic sclerosis.
