Following the marked reduction in the degree of liver steatosis shown by H&E staining in the PCP group, the mRNA expression of lipid transportation, such as solute carrier family 27 member 4 (Scl27a4), apolipoprotein C2 (Apoc2), and CD36 (a fatty acid translocase), significantly increased in the PCP group (Figure 4D). This evidence concerns the gene APOC2 and fatty liver disease.
