Studies on the pathogenesis of articular cartilage disorders have identified the molecules involved, such as Interleukin 1 beta (IL-1ß), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), Interleukin 6 (IL-6), Interleukin-8 (IL-8), and Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), and many studies on therapeutic interventions are underway and expected to be successful, which may revolutionize treatment soon3,4. Here, TNF is linked to cartilage disease.
