To expand on these findings, we further assessed whether KLF1(K74R) knockin affects the progression of geriatric disorders and organ function deterioration with advancing age by carrying out a longitudinal analysis on dyslipidemia, chronic hepatic disorders, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, CV disorders, chronic nephropathy, and neoplasia, which are associated with increased risk of morbidity and mortality in aged mice. This evidence concerns the gene KLF1 and neoplasm.
