DNAJC6 has been shown to be important for clathrin uncoating (Edvardson et al., 2012), and recent studies identified mutations in DNAJC6, which appear to be responsible for juvenile and early onset PD (Edvardson et al., 2012; Köroğlu et al., 2013; Elsayed et al., 2016; Olgiati et al., 2016). The gene discussed is DNAJC6; the disease is Parkinson disease.
