For the detection of bacterial infection among the 11 patients in the crossover cohort, IMX-BVN-3 bacterial scores had a greater AUROC of 0.72 (95% CI, 0.32-1.0) than both procalcitonin (AUROC, 0.44 [95% CI, 0.07-0.82]) and IL-6 (AUROC, 0.44 [95% CI, 0.07-0.82]) levels, but did not reach statistical significance (P = .39) (eFigure 1C in the Supplement).
