In an attempt to tackle this deadly alliance of CKD, mineral and bone disease and CVD, our study was done to evaluate the relationship between the cardiovascular calcification and a myocardial injury biomarker, hs-cTnT, as representatives of cardiovascular burden in CKD and serum osteoprotegerin, an osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor, which is involved in bone metabolism regulation as well as vascular disease, inflammation and apoptosis. Here, TNNT2 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
