RTN4R and myocardial ischemia: In the present study, NGR1 ameliorated echocardiographic function, improved ventricular dysfunction, decreased infarct size, alleviated myocardial fibrosis, hypertrophy and apoptosis, and declined myocardial injury markers in LADCA-ligated rats, which suggested that NGR1 exerts significant cardio-protective effects against myocardial ischemia.
