GLP1R and type 2 diabetes mellitus: In another study that prospectively included 288 patients with T2D and chronic HF treated with cardiac resynchronization therapy with a defibrillator, the use of GLP-1 receptor agonists in addition to conventional hypoglycemic therapy was associated with a significant decline in NYHA class, higher scores on the 6-minute walking test, and a higher probability of the patients responding to cardiac resynchronization therapy with a defibrillator.
