Western blot analysis indeed revealed that Daidzein and Gefitinib combination treatment synergistically inhibited multiple EGFR phosphorylation sites (P-EGFR Y1068, T845 and T1092) in both A549 and H1975 lung cancer cells, which led to deactivation of STAT1 and STAT3 (Figure 6A).
