(Vergote et al., 2011, Kehoe et al., 2015, Vergote et al., 2018); (4) bevacizumab should be included along with the initial chemotherapy in patients with macroscopic residual disease following standard surgery; bevacizumab can be continued during the maintenance period (ESGO-ESMO Consensus Conference on Ovarian Cancer; Armstrong et al., 2021, Santaballa et al., 2016); and (5) PARP inhibitors have shown greatest activity in patients with BRCA1/2 mutations (ESGO-ESMO Consensus Conference on Ovarian Cancer, 2019). This evidence concerns the gene BRCA1 and ovarian cancer.
