Consistent with the previous study, SNPs near GREM1 and FMN1 were highly correlated with elevated CRC risk [30], while the difference is that the rs4779584 reported is strongly related to an elevated risk of CRC, but the opposite in the present study (P = 1.73 × 10−9, OR = 0.85) [30]. This evidence concerns the gene GREM1 and colorectal carcinoma.
