In multivariate logistic regression analysis, after controlling for potential confounders, we discovered that the VAT/SAT ratio (OR, 26.08; 95% CI, 5.92–114.83; p < 0.001), NAFLD (OR, 2.95; 95% CI, 1.33–6.50; p = 0.008), fibrinogen levels (OR, 1.80; 95% CI, 1.12–2.88; p = 0.014), diabetes mellitus (OR, 2.51; 95% CI, 1.22–5.18; p = 0.013), and comparatively low adiponectin levels (OR, 0.61; 95% CI, 0.44–0.84; p = 0.002) were independent predictors of increased ICAS risk (Table 2). Here, ADIPOQ is linked to familial isolated congenital asplenia.
