The main findings of this study are the following: (1) in a consecutive cohort of patients with COVID-19, the incidence of cardiac arrhythmias, such as both brady- and tachyarrhythmias was 25%; (2) patients with arrhythmias showed a worse inflammatory status as demonstrated by higher CRP and more extensive pulmonary involvement; (3) the need of oxygen therapy and CT severity score were predictors of arrhythmia occurrence during a mean follow-up of 19 months. This evidence concerns the gene CRP and cardiac rhythm disease.
