The sensitivity (SEN) of CK-18 M30 and CK-18 M65 for the diagnosis of NASH was 70% and 63.6%, the specificity (SPE) was 83.7% and 89.4%, and the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.71 and 0.81, respectively, indicating an excellent diagnostic value of CK-18 in NAFLD [14]. This evidence concerns the gene KRT18 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
