Although midostaurin in combination with chemotherapy is currently in routine clinical use in patients with newly diagnosed FLT3-mutated AML, midostaurin has been identified as an antagonist to some chemotherapeutic agents, such as cytarabine, doxorubicin, idarubicin, mitoxantrone, etoposide, and vincristine in leukemia cell lines without FLT3 mutations [3–5]. Here, FLT3 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
