Recent studies have demonstrated that key molecules in the non-canonical NF-κB signaling pathway regulate liver homeostasis and diseases, including metabolic liver diseases, NAFLD, NASH, AFLD, toxin-induced liver injury, liver regeneration, hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury (HIRI), viral hepatitis, AIH, and HCC (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and autoimmune hepatitis.
