For lutein and zeaxanthin, no differences were found for the risk of gastric cancer [57], lung cancer [43], lung cancer or lung cancer mortality [43], pancreatic cancer [50], oral cavity and pharynx cancer [41], colon [49], rectal [49] or colorectal cancer [49], early aged macular degeneration [46], hip fracture [55] or IL-6 [37] (Table S5). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and colorectal cancer.
