VIM and breast cancer: Figure 4 shows the EMT rates in BC cells. When PAG, L-Asp, and AOAA were applied for 24 h, there was a significant increase in the expression of E-cadherin and a decrease in N-cadherin and Vimentin compared to the control group. Furthermore, analysis indicates that the effect was much stronger in the combined group, followed by the AOAA, L-Asp, and PAG groups (Figure 4). These findings reveal that suppression of endogenous H2S could be a way forward to decrease cancer metastasis in human BC cells.
