Finally, a slight association was shown with increased values of the first hs-cTnT assay (OR: 1.003, 95% CI: 1.002–1.004, p < 0.01) or with the mean percentage of change (OR: 1.006, 95% CI: 1.003–1.009, p < 0.01); however, the significant variation between the first and second hs-cTnT values more than doubled the chance of cardiovascular disease (OR: 2.62, 95% CI: 1.72–3.99, p < 0.01).
